OLD REPUBLIC: KORRIBAN: FROM THE ASHES , LEGACY OF THE SITH

Background:

Following the Battle for Makeb and the Rise of the Hutt Cartel, the Sith order was deeply divided between its key leadership. . 

Due to the recent rise of power of Darth Pandar and successes on Makeb and the failures of Darth Marr in the outer rim worlds to unite the Sith Empire, the SIth quickly were taking up arms to determine who would rule the Sith Empire. On the Sith homeworld of Korriban, the Sith would fight between those who were true-blood Sith and those who were exiled Dark Jedi. Too many sought power which would lead to the Sith Civil War. Upon returning to Korriban Darth Marr would be confronted by Sith Lord Calpho alongside his apprentice Taneb Kel, killing Darth Marr before the Dark Council. Darth Pandar would take the vacant seat on the council upon Marr’s death.  Quietly Pandar’s power was growing, and Lord Calpho’s time was coming to an end, and his treachery would be revealed.   

It was discovered that Sith Lord Calypho had in fact taken a second apprentice, Exal Kresh, as he saw Marr and Taneb Kel as failures in the eyes of the Sith Empire. They did not have the raw tenacity and thirst for Jedi blood. The Dark Council ordered their deaths, and they would hunt down this other dark apprentice to bring balance back to the Sith Empire. However it was Lord Calypho who had sought to rule, and was ruled a heretic and a traitor to the empire. Taneb Kel would uncover the plot by his former master. Tel would slay his captured master and rise to become Darth Thanaton. Darth Pandar and Darth Thanaton would come into direct conflict with the power vacuum at the pinnacle of the Sith Dark Council. The Sith Civil War would begin in the tombs of Korriban, before the dark lords who ruled before.
